Your baby's first year of life is a crazy, wonderful, sleepless time mixed with unbelievable joy and unbelievable exhaustion.  Getting anything done with a little one takes planning.  Or it just doesn't happen.  And you really do want to remember this time in your baby's life!

Maternity pictures and tummy pictures,  newborn photographs in the first few days and weeks of life, along with madonna and child portraits.  Dad and big brother and sister may also be included.

So many firsts...sitting up, crawling, standing, and maybe a few steps...all in that first year. Let me help you make this a time to remember.

A little planning makes for a lifetime of memories!

We can't get enough of round bellies and tiny babies, so it's no surprise how much I really enjoy photographing expecting parents and newborns. We know how important this time is and want to help you remember it. I have created specialty packages designed for expectant parents for their newborn and baby sessions. From pregnancy to first birthday, I have you covered.

Before we get started I would like to talk to you about what you want to get out of the photo session. Deciding what kind of photo session is very important so I know what to focus on. I also would like some time to get to know the parents and the baby being photographed. This way, once we start photographing, everyone will be relaxed and will be at ease. I never rush photo sessions and generally take the time necessary to get the most magical moments photographed.

It's best to make sure to capture babies at their happiest. This means, for example, they are probably happiest after a good nap or after eating. You know when to best photograph them so I will work around your schedule. If you or your baby isn't feeling well the day of or before your session, please call me to reschedule. I want you to be happy with the end results.

If you are pregnant and know that you want a newborn photo session, please schedule your session as soon as you can. Although I make every effort to fit in last minute newborn session requests, my schedule fills quickly and once it is full, it can sometimes be difficult to do so. Once you are on the schedule, you will be given priority for session scheduling when your baby arrives.   If your baby is already born, please do feel free to call and inquire about a session as I do try to fit in newborns whenever possible.

All of my sessions are done on location. This means that I will come to your home for the session. I will bring everything that is required for a successful newborn session. Once I arrive, we will look around your home together and decide where the session will take place. Occasionally we may move furniture to make room but I have worked in apartments and condos with limited space and we can always make it work.

Having the baby session at your home will allow you and your family to relax in the comfort of your own surroundings during the session. Your older children can play while waiting for their turn to be photographed, and mom and dad can sit back and relax on the couch while I work with your baby. During the session we will take breaks for feedings and cuddling as necessary.
