Who Is PhotographerJames?
Welcome to my site! My name is James Barker and I am a local freelance photographer located in San Diego, California. I have a great passion for photography and I cover a wide spectrum of services. I can be booked to photograph weddings, engagements, babies, kids, families, nature, cars, and school sporting events!!
The use of digital technology has been a welcome transition from traditional methods of photography. When combined with digital imaging software, the possibilities are endless. Imaging software provides the ability to simply correct color or tonality, or to go as far as creatively redesigning an image. I am a NAPP member as well as a creative Photoshop journeyman and use digital software such as Lightroom, Photoshop, Photomatix and other tools to enhance and strive to create art with my imagery.
My mission is to go above and beyond the traditional portraits and add a more creative edge. However, that said, I have many customers still requesting a traditional approach and that is fine to. At the end of the day, the client is always right! 
The part of my services that my customers just love is that I bring the studio to you!! I pack up all my gear and meet you at the site or location of your choosing. I have lots of ideas on great places to shoot all over San Diego county so let's discuss what works best for you.
It is my great passion to work with all forms of subjects such as a bride, flower, wedding party, baby, pet or entire family and truly capture the magic moments as they happen. - Lighting: Multiple Nikon SB600, SB800, SB910 portable strobes; Radiopoppers
- Other Goodies: I am set up to be mobile so I also have Light stands, Beauty Dish, Softboxes, Umbrellas, Diffusers, Portable Backdrops all to bring the studio to you!
